The Journey
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Hi, I’m Averie Rose—a small-town Canadian girl with a big love for fishing. My passion for the sport started before I could even walk, tagging along on fishing trips with my dad as a baby. Since then, fishing has become more than just a pastime—it’s a core part of who I am.
In 2018, at just 11 years old, I launched my YouTube channel with the goal of inspiring other kids to get outside and experience the thrill of sport fishing. That passion project quickly grew into something bigger, eventually leading to the incredible opportunity to host and produce Hooked, a fishing show that aired on Bell Fibe TV, the Sportsman Channel Canada, and the World Fishing Network in the US. From 2020 to 2024, Hooked ran for four amazing seasons, allowing me to share the water with some incredible pro anglers and connect with viewers across North America.
Now that the show has wrapped, I’m shifting my focus to where the next generation of anglers already are—online. Through YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other streaming platforms, I’m continuing to share my fishing adventures, tips, and moments that capture the heart of the sport. With millions of views and a growing community of passionate anglers, my mission remains the same: to inspire others—especially young people—to pick up a rod and discover the joy of fishing.
Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just curious about casting your first line, I’d love to have you join me on this journey. Let’s explore the world of fishing together!

YouTube
YouTube is where I share my deep passion for fishing through fun, well-produced, long-form content that brings viewers right into the heart of my every adventure! With over 16 million impressions, 5 million views, and more than 19,000 subscribers, my YouTube content has reached a wide and engaged audience. Through consistent storytelling, authentic outdoor experiences, and a passion for fishing, I’ve been able to connect with viewers around the world. In 2025 alone, I’ve already added over 159,000 views, gained 12,000+ watch hours, and reached more than 1.8 million impressions—a clear sign of steady and consistent growth. By continuing to connect with my community and share real, relatable experiences on the water, my goal remains to inspire and reach millions more —one adventure at a time.

My instagram account is how I interact more personally with my following of over 4,800 followers. Having a consistently high engagement from both followers and non-followers alike, my Instagram has become a key platform for connecting with my audience through both photo and video content. In just the past few months, my content has reached over 4,100 unique accounts, with top-performing reels and posts earning in the tens of thousands of views and interactions. Unlike my Youtube content which takes a couple days to produce, my Instagram page allows me to share the visual side of fishing—scenic moments, exciting catches, and behind-the-scenes looks—in real time. Instagram tends to connect me directly with a younger, more trend-driven audience. I frequently collaborate with brands on Instagram through sponsored content, giveaways, product features, and interactive campaigns that resonate with this younger demographic.

Facebook remains a powerful platform for expanding my reach and connecting with a diverse audience. In the 2025 season, my content has garnered over 280,000 views, reached more than 71,000 unique users, and led to over 3,300 interactions. Facebook effectively engages an older demographic, complementing the younger audience I attract on Instagram. This cross-platform strategy helps connect fishing enthusiasts of all ages, fostering a multi-generational community. Through videos, photos, and stories, Facebook enables me to deliver content that resonates with a broader range of followers.

Partnered Content
I’ve had the opportunity to work with multiple industry-leading companies, creating engaging, authentic content that aligns with both my brand and the interests of my audience. From on-the-water gear to culinary adventures, I’ve collaborated with brands like Smokercraft, Shimano, SAIL, Catch and Cook, VMC, and X-Zone Lures—crafting content that not only showcases their products but also delivers genuine value to my community. By putting each brand into a real-world context—whether it’s showcasing a lure in action or cooking up the day’s catch—I help highlight how these products fit naturally into the lifestyle my audience follows.

Public
Relations
Since beginning my YouTube journey, I’ve had the opportunity to attend sporting shows and events, participate in dealer meetings, deliver seminars, and volunteer—including hosting kids’ fishing derbies and participating in tournaments. I consider myself a confident public speaker and genuinely enjoy meeting audience members face-to-face at these events. This year, I was honored to be a special guest at the SAIL booth during the Toronto Sportsman Show, where I had the chance to connect with a wide range of people and share my passion for fishing firsthand. Public events are not only an exciting part of what I do—they’re also a meaningful way for me to engage with my community on a more personal and impactful level.

Collaborations
One of my favourite parts of content creation is the incredible people I’ve met along the way. I’ve had the opportunity to fish with a wide range of individuals—from country music star Terri Clark, pro angler JP DeRose, and established guide Paul Castellano, to fellow YouTuber Jay Siemens and even my sister, an enthusiastic amateur angler. Each collaboration has taught me something new and added a fresh perspective to my content. These experiences not only enrich my videos but also provide my audience with valuable insights, entertaining moments, and authentic interactions that reflect the true spirit of fishing. Whether it’s learning from seasoned pros or sharing laughs with friends and family, it’s the connections behind the camera that make this journey so rewarding.
